How to get to the EPFL

1. When arriving by car at the EPFL

• Take the motorway to Lausanne
• Follow the indication 'Lausanne Sud' (means 'South')
  
• Leave the motorway at the exit 'EPFL'
  
• Continue your way on the main street 'Route du lac' in direction of Geneva for about 2 km until you arrive at the campus of the EPFL
  
• Enter the campus and drive to the visitors' parking in the middle of the campus (cf. plan)
  
• Consult detailed plan to get to the meeting room

2. When arriving by train at Lausanne railway station

Continuation by "Metro":

• Cross the main square in front of the railway station and get to the building where is written 'Metro'
  
• Buy a ticket for the Metro tramway (2.40 F)
  
• Take the little cable railway bringing you upwards (short distance, about 1 min.)
  
• Take the tramway 'Métro Ouest' (only direction to EPFL possible)
  
• Leave the tramway at the station 'EPFL' (after about 15 min.)
  
• Follow the indications to get to the meeting room (cf. detailed plan)

Continuation by taxi:

A taxi from Lausanne railway station to EPFL costs about 13 euros (20 swiss francs) and takes about 15 min. All taxis have controlled prices and a taxmeter, you don't have to negotiate the price. The taxi drivers appreciate a small tip of 1 to 2 francs (not compulsory).
Ask the taxi driver to drop you at the "central" bus station of the EPFL.

3. When arriving by airplane in Geneva

You can either take the train to Lausanne railway station (about 50 min., 23 swiss francs one way) and follow then the indications under paragraph 2 or you can rent a car at Geneva airport and follow the indications under paragraph 1 (about 50 min travelling time).
